The Selfless Act of Giving Scholarship 2021

Attorney Matthew Lott began his career as a defense lawyer for large corporations, and even sometimes cities, facing defective products, unsafe premises, and other personal injury cases from individuals. Along the way, Matthew Lott decided that people and their families are what truly matter to him, so he opened his own law firm to help those in the Gulf Coast area with their family and personal injury cases. This is his way to give back and better his community.

The Selfless Act of Giving Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship award available to one student who gives back to their community. For this scholarship, we are asking that applicants write an essay describing a time they acted as a volunteer to better their community and the impact it had on the patrons, the organization, and them personally. Our hope is that this scholarship will encourage students to get involved in their communities in whatever capacity they can. No effort is too small when it comes to helping others.
